From the Latin meaning nest, a place in which something is formed. A site of origin.
Where our life begins is the point of reference for our journey.

My mother’s family is from Mendoza, Argentina's most celebrated wine region, where they owned a finca for generations.

As a child, I grew up listening to my grandfather—el Tata—and became mesmerized by his stories about winemaking and about life.

Years later, while working in a restaurant in Buenos Aires, I felt drawn to wine in a deeper way and decided to become a sommelier.

That path took me to Puerto Rico, where I immersed myself in wines from around the world, working with one of the leading wine distributors, and learning alongside some of the best sommeliers and producers from every major wine region.

Then came Napa Valley.

On my first visit, I knew I had found more than inspiration—I had found direction. A place where the idea of creating something of my own began to take shape.

It was also there that I met Sabrina, a fellow winemaker from Mendoza.

Her journey had taken her through different wine regions and countries, eventually leading her to Napa Valley, where she spent ten years making wines for the renowned Mondavi family.

Beyond her experience as a winemaker, we shared a common belief: that wine transcends what is in the bottle. It brings people together, creates memories, and connects us to places, traditions, and one another.

What began with a shared passion for wine soon became something much greater. Together, we built a family and a life around values we both deeply believe in.

But the journey didn’t end there.

In time, it brought us back to Mendoza.

For Sabrina, it meant returning home. For me, it meant returning to the land that had always lived in my heart through my family's roots and memories.

Together, we chose to settle here, raise our family, and build something of our own.

Nidus was a dream long before it became a place.

A dream shaped by the people we met, the wines we made, the tables we shared, and the experiences that defined our journey.

Returning to Mendoza gave us the opportunity to bring that dream to life, a place where past and future meet.

Today, Nidus is our way of sharing that journey through wine, food, and hospitality.
